An article entitled Message in a bottle appeared in Full Circle Magazine. The article tells the story of two girls who dropped a lemonade bottle into the sea at the Simons Town Waterfront – containing two letters addressed to mermaids. When the bottle later washed up on a beach in Maputo, Dr Juliet Hermes, an oceanographer at SAEON’s Egagasini Node was consulted to shed light on the odd place the bottle was found. SAEON eNews reported on the incident in its September issue .
